FAQ

All Summer School sessions (except Happy Hour) are held online, as webinars.

A webinar is a live seminar conducted over the internet. You will be able to watch and listen to the speaker, then ask questions or chat with the speaker and other participants. Any videos or slides that the presenter uses will appear on your screen while the presenter is talking.

Fill out the registration form* and click “Submit”.

Before Summer School begins, we will email you a Zoom link. Keep the email in a safe place as you will use the same link to access all 9 sessions.

Zoom is a way for people to meet virtually, on a computer, tablet or smart phone. Zoom enables everyone in the meeting to see and hear each other.
If you prefer to stay private, you always have the option to turn off your own camera and microphone, and just watch and listen.

For more detailed instructions, read our Zoom Webinar guide*.

Happy Hour is a paid event for U3A Melbourne City members only. If you entered your membership number on the registration form, you will receive an invitation to Happy Hour in due course. Please note that tickets will be limited, so please make sure you reply quickly if you wish to attend.

It’s not possible to advise how many tickets will be available at this time. Numbers will depend on Covid restrictions at the time of the event.

We will keep your email address on our secure server so we can communicate with you about Summer School (e.g. instructions, help, feedback). We will not send you any other communications unless you have asked us to. We will never disclose your personal details to any outside organisations for any purpose, unless required by law.

If you have any other questions, our volunteers will be happy to help. Although our office premises are closed, our volunteers are working from home and checking messages daily. Visit our Contact* page to find all our contact details.
